What I do is find where the clan castle (cc) is before attacking when scouting the base, and I click on the clan castle to see the area it covers. If using mainly wizards, I will also use a healer to strengthen wizards while killing troops.
Archers and wiz are preferred for surrounding and killing clan castle troops because they can kill both ground and flying troops. I’ve seen this done with barbs, but I usually use archers and sometimes wiz. The only time you don’t have to lure out the cc troops and kill them is when using the all dragon attack, dragoon, or GoWipe (have poison spell, rage and heal troops).
